Regina Boger has been a full-time jewelry artist for more than 10 years and has been working with metal and hand stamping for just over 2 years. She is from Fort Wayne, Indiana and owns “Fired Up Ladies Hammered” shop on etsy. Her slogan is “Jewelry with a Message.”
Regina is a single Mom of 3. Two teenage girls, and a son in college. Her Mom is an artist also, so naturally Regina has always been surrounded with the creative process. Her teenage years were filled with traveling to art shows and selling her parents handmade jewelry. Regina says that “It created a bug in me that has never went away!”
I asked Regina if she would share how she got started, and what inspires her to create jewelry, she was kind enough to share her story with us.
“As a single mom I was working nights and wanted more. I had never had much stick to it and was searching for something that could hold my attention. I started making glass bug pins, then moved on to ceramic clay jewelry with lots of personality. Now I have added another great element – Stamping! I have fallen in love with hand stamping. I have always worn jewelry with my name on it, from an engraved cuff bracelet that I saved up for when I was 6 to wire wrapped name necklaces through my teen years. I love to make pieces that are different from what you can find in a store, and personalized pieces are a passion of mine. Creating a treasured piece for you and your loved ones is a pleasure.”
